He was breathing in the fresh air by the muddy river on a bright, sunny day, enjoying the beautiful bird calls all around him. He stopped to look up into the branches to try and find the source of some of the melodies and squawks.
His gaze was drawn to the pink, fluffy breast of a lone galah perched in a gum tree. It was sitting quietly, and had it not been for the noise of the other birds, he would have walked by it without knowing it was there.
